Hypnotherapy for Sleep Health and Insomnia

“A ruffled mind makes a restless pillow” – Charlotte Bronte

While it is natural to have the odd night of disturbed sleep, or through life stages such as raising a family or caring for a sick relative.  Continued sleep disruption can have an overwhelming effect on us mentally and physically.

More than a third of adults in many developed countries fail to obtain the recommended 7-9 hours sleep per 24 hours.

When our sleep is impacted our mood is likely to be less stable, if our mood is less stable we are more likely to question other things like our self-perception, our ability or judgements, life can start to feel really tough.

Are you…

  • Frustrated with lack of sleep, having tried various methods?
  • Anxious, stressed and on-edge during your work day?
  • Irritable, irrational, less resourceful with lack of patience?
  • Hungrier, due to lack of sleep, which changes our blood sugar levels?
  • Seeing a diminished sense of creativity, lightness and healthy perspective?

If this relates, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space for face-to-face hypnotherapy in Maidenhead and online via Zoom worldwide. My guided one-to-one coaching and hypnotherapy sleep programme could be suitable for you if you’re ready and committed to make a change.

What are the effects of lack of sleep?

Sleep disorders such as insomnia and any form of sleep deprivation has been scientifically proven to weaken the immune system which can make you more vulnerable to mental and physical illness. Latest research shows that sleep disturbance can activate inflammation in the body, should it become prolonged can increase your risk of certain types of serious disease.

It is also a key lifestyle factor to increasing your risk of Alzhiemers and contributes to several mood related conditions such as depression and anxiety.

When our sleep is impacted our mood is likely to be less stable, if our mood is less stable we are more likely to question other things like our self-perception, our ability or judgements, life can start to feel really tough. Sleep also fine tunes our metabolic rate so it’s no wonder that sleep deficiency is proven to increase weight.

A person can go without food for hours and they might become irritable and fatigued yet to go a whole night without sleep the effects are simply so more profound and debilitating. This demonstrates the significant importance sleep has to our health, wellbeing and overall lived experience.
